A Level Art and Photography trip

The Year 12 and 13 art and photography students visited the William Eggleston photography exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery then the National Gallery to see a Rembrandt self portrait as they have been studying Rembrandt lighting.

We then went to the Woolf Gallery to see our artist in residence Jack Tanner’s work in an annual exhibition called Ffound in which the artists have created works made from found or re-purposed objects and materials. As always the pupils were great on the trip and enjoyed the experience of being in central London. When we got to Trafalgar Square one pupil said “is that Buckingham place?” and in the NPG another student said “that’s the lady on the money!” when viewing a portrait of the Queen.
