Last week 41 Y9s attended the annual Battlefields Trip.
We are pleased to report that, for the first time in three years, it didn't rain once, ensuring that Trench-Mud-Foot was at a minimal level. The lads were absolutely brilliant and did themselves proud. They were actively engaged throughout. At one point they were asked to quieten down by the staff in the Flanders Field Museum because they were discussing the work so passionately! On our tour of Theipval Wood trenches, the tour guide even commented how much he enjoyed our group due to the engaging questions that were asked. A massive thank you to Julie, Charlotte, Becky and Lorraine for giving up their evenings. Also thank you to the Trips Team for their efficient handling of the paperwork and to all staff who covered lessons whilst we were away.
